ELKNUT in Seattle Times

Postby Fullabull » 02 04, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Hey Paul,

Just thought I would share. I was contacted by someone from the Seattle times doing a story on Vanity plates and they found out about the issues I had getting a plate with ELKNUT on it. We talked and they came out and took a picture of me and my plate. Some free advertising on the front page of the Seattle times :)

Yeah, you wouldn't believe how much I had to push for that plate. I was hoping they would put my petition letter in there but I think they got their point across.

Wow, different minds on a matter can sure screw with cool plates! Some need to get them out of the gutter. On the bright side our name was mentioned in the paper. (grin) Here's my plates.

So I guess my idea for a license plate in WA of "IF YOU DON'T KILL YOU'RE OWN FOOD, YOU'RE JUST A SCAVENGER" won't fly :)... Probably a bit long anyway.

Don't you folks with vanity plates like "ELKNUT" attract followers when you are out hunting? I would think there are folks who would at least mark the location of your parked truck on their GPS.

Cliff, thanks. The tires are LT 255 75, they are a couple sizes larger than stock, I have a 2 1/2" lift on it too.

There is one in MT that says DNTBADK. It took me a few minutes to sound it out but (Don't be a dick). I should write the commitee on that but in all honesty I laughed when I saw it.
