Teton Jon Introduction

Postby Teton Jon » 02 20, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. I'm Teton Jon and I live in Colter Bay, WY. Moved here from the deep south and am really excited about the upcoming season. I've bowhunted since I was 14 or 15 and have several public land whitetails under my belt. My goal for this year is a public land diy hunt. Hope I don't bite off more than I can chew. Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks.

Welcome Teton jon. I believe you will find people here actually like to share their knowledge with new elk hunters and they have a wealth of experience. Old F-rts like Elknut really want you to be successful. We don't all hunt the same way and our experiences differ, but if you follow along on current and past threads, you will gain years of information the easiest way possible.

Hello Teton Jon, and Welcome to ElkNut Forums. It would be difficult to get much "deeper" South than where I live. ;)

Elknut, I found your forum because your handle keeps coming up on all sorts of other forums and so highly recommended. Several hours of looking at the forum last night proved all the good things I heard about your site right as far as I'm concerned. I ordered your 4 video package last week and got it on Monday. Great info there as well.

Welcome Teton Jon,

I'm kinda like you, a transplant to the elk woods. As has been said already, there are a LOT of experienced hunters here and all are willing to help a guy out.

I'm still learning the ropes, and they are all still entertaining my questions.

Don't hesitate to ask ANYTHING, they have heard it before and will likely hear it again. I haven't had a negative comment on this site EVER.

It's my favorite forum and I'm into anything and everything outdoors, this is the best place to spend your evenings . . . and mornings . . . and lunch breaks . . . and well, just be careful not to get into trouble with the Wife and the Boss.
