Great thought, but it is hard to do these days. When I first started hunting, and even when I started with the Forest Service, I thought it was a reasonable thhig to be able to do. Now days when I go to these locations, I find where a wood tree stand has been constructed. Then to commerate his days there, the maker left an empty beer can on the ground, and his urine jug hanging from a tree limb. I was going to make this post in the form of poetry, but I just could not get the inspiration.

THE LONELY TREE STAND HUNTER
When I arrived at my water hole, to climb a nearby tree
My GPS promised this lonely place, was just where I should be
I looked around the area, to observe some recent elk activity
But I found just an empty beer can and an hanging jug of pee.

Ok, I know it is not ready for the big time, but I tried.
