Post Up Your Elk Sounds 2013, Special Elk Sounds

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 04 01, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Allrighty.... Let's get part 4 going, shall we? For this fourth phase of our 2013, Elknut Forum post em up mission.. let's go with "special elk sounds"... 1. Popping or Nervous Grunt, 2. Estrus Buzz, 3. Lip Bawl Bugle, and 4. Lost Cow Call. Post em up all together or one at a time, your call. Each have a specific meaning when heard or when given in the elk woods.. Who of my esteemed elknut friends will throw their sounds out first? Mr. Elknut has many if not all of these sounds demonstrated in his Elknut clips on the top of the page. As always remember, the other threads are alive and well and you may certainly post up your new offerings on them as many times as you like.. (enter as often as you like, no purchase necessary... ha, ha.. couldn't resist). It's a great opportunity to throw out some sounds and get positive feedback on your noises.

Anyone? Bueller.... bueller.... ? Old 80s M. Broderick movie reference... sorry. 1. Popping or Nervous Grunt, 2. Estrus Buzz, 3. Lip Bawl Bugle, and 4. Lost Cow Call. Don't be shy folks. If you think you're gonna get anything but positive feedback here, you're mistaken.

https://soundcloud.com/brentlabere-1/es ... strus-buzz

https://soundcloud.com/brentlabere-1/li ... bawl-bugle

I do not practice these very much and after recording I think I am going to start a little more. I think I started to cow bugle a little bit in the lost cow call.......bring on the feed back.

Sorry Brent... a bit slow right now on the "post em up" threads.. We'll kick it in again as we get a bit closer to the season and hope for some better participation.

This is a Nervous Grunt and also a Nervous grunt on the beginning of a bugle. Some of you may have heard bulls do this sound as well. He is demanding to see you. Show Yourself.

WW, I am just recording these sounds using the voice memo app on my iphone. Then I send an email to my computer, click on the file and name the file and put it in a music folder. that way I can click browse on here and choose whatever elk call file that I have recorded. So I am not exactly sure which version of Quicktime it is. It only says Quicktime when I post them on here.Hope this helps. Troy
