MT ELK Combo and Permits

Postby BrentLaBere » 04 24, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Results are out. Drew my elk combo tag which came to no surprise, and didn't draw my 410-15 permit. Looking at areas B,C now and just need to pick and plan a scouting trip. Anyone else draw a special permit?

I also didn't draw my permit for MT. HD 700. Go west I guess. I was also unsuccessful in my ND drawings for Bighorn, moose and elk. Wow, I'm starting to get a complex. Either way, I'm going elk hunting in MT and excited! Have you pinpointed your destination yet Brent? We're still researching.

MTlongdraw use the link I posted above. For some reason I ran into the same problem you did right away until I tried it here.

How many points does it take for a non-res to have decent odds of drawing 410-15?

It is a random draw. If you have bonus points then your name goes into the draw more often but it is still random

CINELK,
I tried to create a pdf of my hunterstrailhead account but it would not let me attach it.
For a Non-Resident, according to this site, is:
0 bonus points - 27.1%
1 bonus points - 46.9%
2 bonus points - 61%
3 bonus points - 71.7%
4 bonus points - 79.2%
5 bonus points - 85%

This is the stats from 2011 in 410-15

Thanks for the information Brent. Thinking about putting in for 410-15 in a couple of years.
