Can't take it any longer...

Postby Raghorn » 04 25, 2013 •  [Post 1]

so I finally had to register with you Elknuts and say hello!! After lurking here for a few weeks and reading many posts, I've come to the conclusion that this site is different...in a great way! Seems to be full of great people that sincerely share their thoughts and experiences, even to those "nuts" that may not be as seasoned! It's the kind of community I've been looking for..so Hello to all of you!

Although I have a few elk hunts under my belt, I still consider myself pretty green and look forward to learning from the wily veterans, newbies and everyone in between while also sharing my experiences when worthy. Like a few of you, I found out yesterday that I will have a MT general tag in my pocket this fall(along with "The Playbook") and I'm excited as heck!!

I could go on and on but if the mountains are gonna be calling in Sept. then the treadmill is calling right now!

Once again...Hello and thanks for having me!

Raghorn I agree with you on this a GREAT forum!

Not like other sites, well ElkNut (forum owner), is not exactly like other elk hunters! He is genuine, a wealth of knowledge and just a great all around person! I have known Paul for several years and has always treated myself and everyone that I referred to Paul for his knowledge and products.

He is also surrounded/supported by some great folks such as his son and JohnFitzgerald!

Thanks for the kind welcome!! I agree, it is "the" Elk forum!

Lefty...still trying to figure out the "where" in MT?? Have some ideas and looking at many more..there will be alot of research from now til then. Many of the areas we are considering are in SW part of the state, but looking at a few of the more central/south central general units also. The research is part of the fun!

Welcome Raghorn! I just got off the treadmill and saw this :)

No offense, but if I see something that resembles your handle this Season, I will not hesitate to put an arrow in it ;)

Hey there Raghorn! This is for sure the real deal in forums. I am as green as grass when it comes to elk hunting but have learned so much already from the great folks here! They are sincere and authentic and kind. I don't see any harshness or judgmental behavior like on other forums. Welcome to the neighborhood.
