New Guy from NW MT

Postby Backcountry » 05 10, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Have posted a few times but figured it was time to formally introduce myself. I live and hunt in the Bitteroot Valley area of MT. I'm 24 years old and have been chasing elk on my own for 12 years and and with my dad since pretty much day one. Elk hunting has totally consumed me and I can't wait to hit the woods each fall with my bow.. my wife may disagree

Looking forward to learning as much as I can and contributing as much as I can.

Hey Dave, thanks for checking out the Elk Forum, it's a great place with great folks as you can see! How the heck have you been doing anyway? How's your dad?

Thanks Paul, I've been great. Got married this past summer and just bought our first house. Been keeping busy to say the least. My dad has been good and has an incredible couple of years hunting. Killed a 175" whitetail, A moose, and several elk with his bow all in N. Idaho

Welcome Dave. The Bitterroot is my home away from home. Glad to hear you are able to buy a house and all. Times are tough for lots of folks in the Root these days. How far down the valley do you live? My brother is just north of Hamilton up Sheafman Cr. rd.
