X Marks the Spot Series 1

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 06 05, 2013 •  [Post 1]

OK, the stars have aligned and you find youself within 30ish yards of these beasts while bow hunting. You have the wind, and, to this point the bull(s) are unaware of your prescence. You've came to full draw. Now, do you shoot or wait? If you shoot place and "X" on the spot you pick to shoot or simply say wait for a better shot.

If you save the picture to your desktop and open them up with paint or a similar program, you can place an X, O, or whatever showing where you would shoot.. Then, respond to thread with your comments, and, add your adjusted image(s).

Shoot or wait for the first three bulls please. RJ

Bull #1's attention is to the left.
His legs are in position so that his next step(s) could be in that direction.
In just a few seconds, when he moves that way, the shooter will have a nice shot.

Another example on what to possibly 'recognize'...

Good answers from both of you guys. Kill shots for sure. But on the broadside shots I would aim for just about 3 inches lower to help insure a better blood trail.

The biggest reason I would 'Wait' on bull #1 is he is still in velvet.... :)

Oops. I missed one somehow. I like Cnelk's placement for the one I missed. And it looks like O marks the spot. :)

This shot only works for me from 10 yards and in.
