WA backdoor...

Postby slim9300 » 06 18, 2013 •  [Post 1]

...Is starting to roll in. Antlerless elk and deer have been posted so far and my little sis defies the odds for her third year in a row, making her 3 for 3 on drawing a special permit tag. She certainly has her mom's luck!

She got her rifle cow permit! :) The unit is still unknown but they are all very high success hunts.

By the time this season is over she's going to be just barely 12 years old and hopefully already killed three elk. I am going to do whatever it takes to see her kill one too. :)

Looks like we won't get anymore results until tomorrow. Lol. Man that's just wrong!

The only two drawings that have been posted are antlerless deer and antlerless elk. I'm guessing we will see the rest tomorrow.

The last few years, once one started to post, the rest posted every few minutes. :(

You must call with your Wild ID # to find out. 360-902-2434

The computer system has crashed and talking to a real live person is the only way. Good luck getting through. ;)

This is nuts... (And I couldn't be happier!)

Kahlen is the only one that drew anything. I have an average of about 8-10 points in all categories and didn't draw a thing, and either did my pops or my partner (we all have about the same number of points too).

She drew a Margret cow tag (slam dunk) and a Pearrygin late buck tag. Just two years ago she drew a Gardner late buck tag too. I can't believe it. The odds are less than 3% for each of these tags. What an awesome day for her. :)

Yep. That is the only tag I have ever drawn in WA. It's wasn't a bad hunt at all. Two days of hunting was all it took for my dad, my partner and I to all kill cows. :)

I hope so, but I decided she has to decide when she wants to pull the trigger. 8-)

I don't want to be responsible for telling her what to pass up. Time for her to renew the gym membership. Holy steep canyons.

And slim. Hunted the Margaret last year with a bull tag. Shot a small 4pt opening day. Girlfriend caught it on film, 20 yds away, bulls bugling all around. Couldn't ask for more. It was her first experience being in the elk woods.
