Would you hunt an Antler-less Only Archery Elk season?

Yes, prefer cow anyway. They just don't like me like the bulls do ;)

No I wouldn't. I know....boo...hiss. :D

I've taken plenty of elk, now it's the challenge of taking bulls only for me.

No sir.. It's the vocalization of the bulls that keeps me hooked on archery elk hunting. Nothing wrong with harvesting a legal cow, just not for me.

I would if it was my only option. Right now though I have to say I would rather chase bulls.

no. I would shoot a cow but the ES tag OTC is a nice deal. It lets me play the game all out.
And then if it looks like the cow is the shot to take, I take it.

No problem, in a heart beat if it were an extra tag or if I had no choice between a bull tag or cow tag. There's "many cow only hunts/units" per state. I prefer hunting bulls no doubt but if no choice was given I'd be right in line! (grin)

I have no choice on the east side of Washington... Its cow or spike unless you draw a bull tag, but the bulls are still fun to play with when there screaming in the mornings....... 8-)

Antler-less Only Archery Elk

I drew my either sex archery license for the GMU I wanted.

Then, I also purchased an antlerless OTC tag for different area I may have a chance at hunting if the hunter I film tags out early during the 4th week.

Better to have the extra tag in my pocket than later wish I had.

Yes, please! Although I've been fortunate enough to draw either-sex tags so far, I'll take whatever tag I can get. Plus, you can't eat antler and cows are yummy.

I used to have moral qualms about killing mamma elk who will likely reproduce, but managed to get past that given that ethical hunting can be a more humane form of population control than a slow death by starvation or disease (both of which happen periodically in Yellowstone & Rocky Mtn. Nat'l. Parks).
