If you ever wondered...

Postby welka » 07 24, 2013 •  [Post 1]

If you ever wondered why you joined and primarily are active on this site, see one of the other popular elk websites and look at one of the most recent posts on frontal shots. Wow. As for the shot, take it inside 10-15 yards. Thanks Elknut.

I have seen it . What a waste of time. I seem to spend less and less time over there. I scan for what might be of interest and then come here. This camp is my new home. :)

It's a shame, really. A very useful site overall, but I find this one much more user-friendly, and relevant.

"Camp" is here, now, for me, too.

I am a Sponsor on both sites. I have noticed a change there...and it is not for the better.

I agree, this site feels way more like home now. 8-)

I spend way more time here also. More "pure" elk discussion and no fighting.

I guess maybe I am too old, but I don't get it when people decide to post stuff just to "poke the bear". Some real knowledgable people out there who used to share their knowledge and I think they have just gone away. Or moved to sites like this one!

Yes, that other site has become infested, I hope this site stays clean. Also my new camp is here.

I think the best part of this site is NO search function, that way every good question will not be answered by "this has been covered already, just do a search for it...."

Setting my tent up over here too. Heard the guy that runs the campground is a real elk magnet.

I hunt out of this camp now. The comradeship here is the best, and the focus on the elk hunting forum stays on elk hunting. I got tired to seeing people belittled on other forums because their opinion was different than the popular one. Here we engage each other and use different ideas as a point of discussion, not an opportunity to attack.
