decided to play hookey today and went to the elk woods. this may be my spot on sept 1. two real beast here. man o man I think I just decided to take the whole hunting season off. these are public land bulls.

Did you ever shoot that big 5 point that you got on pics last year?

nope i did not get the 5 point. I had lots of elk encounters each time I went out. got busted several times and got a 4 point satellite on the next to the last day after getting busted an hour earlier by another bull. once these boys start chasing tail you just never know. I have another location with lots of cows and some respectable elk too. gonna check that location this weekend. camera's are 24-7. hunting is just two weeks out of the year so some luck in required as well.
