First time post .......WOW!!

Hey all.......just found this site. WOW........seems to be busy all the time. Lots of new posts too. I have been on a couple other elk hunting sites......but this one is the best I've found, hands down. I am from eastern Nebraska but we have been in Wyoming and Colorado on a few bow hunts. Going back to Colo.......may try to get leftover tags in 54 or 55 but looking more like we may go OTC in unit 28 or surrounding OTC GMUs. Love to camp (tent, stove , campfire )and be in the mountains. That's the magic. Tagging out is special too.... but being there giving it your all is a big reward for hard work. Still learning!! I have been in 54 and 55 before.......any comments on 28 and GMUs to the west of 28. Thanks!!!

Johnny, what part of "Husker country" are you in? Im only about 7 miles from the Neb state line here in Wray. Welcome to the site! I have a buddy that hunts 28 yearly that does pretty good. They camp in Church park & hunt the surrounding area west of Frazer.I've only been there once to help them pack a bull moose that they did'nt shoot until I headed home.Got outa that one nicely...

Hey thanks all for the warm welcome. Buglemaster , I am down in the SE corner of Nebr. Don't know where we are really heading for sure.....but going to have to decide after the Aug. 6 date for sure. I want to get some maps and study the area we choose. Usually get several USGS 7.5 maps for the area. Go over them a lot before we go, that way I at least kinda have a game plan. Anybody want to comment on the maps they use ? Hey, thanks again all!!
