how many inches is a normal size bull from belly to shoulder? I am shooting a 3 pin sight 20 yards 30 and 40 then for a 50 yards I put the 40yard pin on the of the target that's 36 in hight and it hits 15in from the top.

I would guess about 30" but I never really measured.

so you have 15 inches of drop with 40 yard pin at 50 yards, an elk is somewhere around 30 to 35 inches belly to back bone so if you held on his back bone you would hit dies centerish.
