I have a friend that lives in Great Falls. You're a bit further east but he says it's been an abnormally cool, wet year. I would expect great antler growth.

I will let you know when I get back after the second week of the season :) I heard that it has been green but is starting to dry up this last week. I am hoping for some water around as there was not much last year and also had a lot of alkali at most of the water holes. The elk where using the cattles water tanks at night and then hole up at daylight.
