Finding Wallows on Google

I couldve sworn I saw this same exact post here... did a search and nothing came up.

Is there any indicators and/or what are you looking for when trying to find a wallow.

Sometimes you can see then out in the open. You can look over aspen, alder stands and especially green areas shown in late summer. Wallows can be in draws or meadows or wherever there is a wet spot. The best way for me to find them is to go to a topographic map that show springs. Get the spring coordinates from the map, then search G.E. or Flash Earth and see if you can see what is there. Often wallows are under a tree canopy, so you have to check it out on the ground.

The best way for me to find them is to go to a topographic map that show springs.

Then toggle to the satalite image.

Ive found water in some very dry country looking for "green" on satalite images
