Northern Colorado Elk Calling Meet Up?

I've been practicing a lot with my calls and think I sound decent. Watched numerous videos from Paul, Glacier County, Phelps, Wayne Carlton, Elk101 and more.

But, Thought it would be cool to hang out with some folks who have more experience calling and just learn from each other.

We could even bring our bows for a shoot around.

Thinking the Fort Collins Outdoor Archery range maybe be a good place for a short impromptu get together.

Anyone local to the front range interested in something like this?

Thanks John. I'm flexible on days and times.

I'd say we wouldn't need more than 2 hours max if time is a factor.

If we don't hear from anyone else, I could meet when it's most convenient for you.

Come on now Scott. You can hit the high country hunting elk this year without be confident with your calls.

You mean you haven't been practicing? Mine are in my car. People probably think I'm crazy when they pass me on the road. I save the bugle for outside though. It can deafen you in a car.

This would have been a huge help for me. Unfortunately, I don't have anymore available time in August. This weekend is my final scouting weekend and weeknights I hit the 3D range. I just got my bow back last Thursday and I am behind on shooting.

Perhaps we can do this again next spring? I could use the help.

I am 50% there to convince my brother to try muzzeloader next year, so I may rely more on calling next year. He has never hunted. I am still working on him. Someone at his work gets one every year during ML, so I got partial interest from him.

There's a parking area at the bottom of the range as well as a covered seating area.

I heard three guys showed up, and they had a good time. I didn't make it but would like to get together after the season sometime.

I met up with Lou [Jaquo] this evening for a beverage [maybe more] to wish him well on his Unit 2 hunt next week.
