THIS is the Year!

I just have a feeling.

THIS is the Year that I will kill my first elk.

I have been optimistic about it in the past and have always been excited for the season to start, for the unknown to unravel.

This year . . . I feel like it's only a matter of putting in my time behind my glasses and the rest will take care of itself.

This is most certainly not a done deal, as I have learned that Elk are fully capable of winning the game quite regularly and I haven't won yet, but I feel like I finally could gain the upper hand on one.

I have my location picked out, I have seen plenty of bulls and sign there recently, I cleared out my trail, and I finally have the knowledge to feel confident about tactics and elk behavior. I've got a Good Feeling this year.
