With Opening day of Colorado archery elk 5 days away, we're all ready to hit the high country.

But, If you’re in the Front Range region of Fort Collins, Colorado this Thursday, consider attending the screening of the Hunting Film Tour. It’s a compilation of hunting film clips from independent filmmakers.

I'm in north Idaho and they are coming here Friday of opening day, not sure who scheduled that, but it wasn't anybody that archery hunts. I went to the full draw tour and loved it. Looks like a couple of the same outfits are in this one too.

No worries man! I won't be there either as I'm spending time with my family before I head to the high country for a month.

But for those folks who are free and local, it will surely get everyone even more pumped for opening day of archery elk.

Yeah, this tour is cutting it close to hunting season as most folks will be already headed to camp or at camp. But they seem to be doing well turnout wise.

I attended FDFT here in Fort Collins and Denver. They were both great. Yes, a couple of the same films will be shown at this one.

Good luck up in Idaho this season! I filmed in Island Park last year.

Yep. We had fresh Griz sign and the hunters I filmed had a wolf encounter the week before I got there. But, still some good elk there.
