WY Elk Hunt

Postby alittle0601 » 09 26, 2013 •  [Post 1]

In a couple days I will begin my first elk & deer hunt in area 9 with a general tag. Has anyone out their been in this area or heard any news on it? Also any tips on filing an elk tag, I've been hunting for years but can't ever seem to find the elk?

9 can be tough ... I'd look up high SW of Centennial. Never hunted much and haven't been in there much at all this year.

tons and tons of weekend warriors and road hunters galore be willing to get in the timber and youll see elk don't be picky any bull in the snowies is a good bull Pick yourself up the atv trails map at a gas station in Laramie on the way through even if your not bringing an atv and use it to find the biggest areas that have the roads closed and take off from there. there is a couple bigger areas like that around owen and rob roy Have fun and enjoy all the deadfall in the trees my legs are still banged up from log jumping lol
