Removing Grizzly from END Species List in Yellowstone Ecosys

Received this from the RMEF foundation this morning via email. Please go to the link, read what is proposed (essentially delisting the Grizz in the Jellystone Ecosystem), click on the Comment Now box in the upper right hand corner, and offer your comments and recommendations. Thanks! RJ

Yikes; Some unique comments.
For some reason I dont believe Mack is a hunter.
And so many wrote nearly the exact same comments.
And were did the comments about states only want to have a grizz season for the money?

I was totally unaware we brought the grizzle back from extinction

Last week was it a huge black bear or a grizzle feeding.
I hope the states uses a quota system instead of limiting tag sales

I really hope eventually a grizz season is opened up. However I think the grizz tags would immediantly be clogged with applicants for very limited tag allocations reguardless I will apply!!!! I'm relatively young (27) so my goal for some species is to just outlive the other people applying.

I attended the Yellowstone Monitoring meeting. I was unaware that the Grizzlies had been taken of the list in 2005. the wackos kept throwing lawsuits.

The biologist mentioned grizzlies are the most studied animal in the world

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that one way or another someone or some company with big money will privatize griz hunting. Whether they force us to use an outfitter, for our own good of course, or auction tags so that they end up like governors tags that sell for 100K I just have a feeling that the average Joe, or Rory, won't have a prayer of hunting this once nearly extinct animal in the lower 48.

Also I can see the legal battle resulting in a "token hunt" like we started out with wolves. Meaning they give out such a small number of licenses... like 1 to 5 so that they can say hunters got what they wanted or pretend they see and agree with our points, but there is no real management going on to solve the problem they started in the first place. Hunting is supposed to be wildlife management not what's left after all the legal procedures.

Our best chance of ever killing one would probably be in self defense! Hey Phantom... would you be interested in a prearranged self defense griz hunt? I might be able to line one up for you buddy. Archery only.
