AZ 5b south Archery Elk

I drew a non resident archery elk tag in Arizona. Its for unit 5b south. The hunt dates are September 9-22. I'm pretty excited as i have heard and read that there are a lot of elk in the unit so it should be non stop action. I really am looking to kill a bull over 300 but obviously the bigger the better. I guess i got pretty lucky and drew the tag with just one point so i am not going to be too picky if it comes to the second weekend and i haven't been seeing bigger bulls. I am going to scout the unit in July and again towards the end of August to learn the terrain a little better. I have a buddy that lives in Phoenix that has spent a lot of time in the unit so that is going to be a big help. Anyone on here have any experience with that unit or that hunt in particular? Any general information would be appreciated. I live in St. George Ut and have hunted mostly in the southern Utah area.
