Notice anything odd here?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 08 16, 2017 •  [Post 1]

What's wrong with this old bull? This is an old timer I got on trail cam a few years back in the spud state. What do you see that is a bit unusual about this guy and what do you think may have caused it? Then again, I may be seeing things :?

Outside of one devil tine on the left, I didn't see anything unusual. What am I missing? Can't really tell from the picture but he may have an ear that was frost bitten at some time in his many years.

Looks like one antler comes out in a different place than the other side.If that is it, he injured it in early life. I killed similar one in 2009.

That is a big ol bodied bull... maybe his ear? It kinda looks like his right horn Between the 3rd and 4th point bends back in pretty hard? Nothing is jumping right out at me but maybe it's because I will be hunting in two weeks and can't focus on anything

That's what I'm seeing (or not seeing) also Mike. I only got a few pics of this nocturnal beast but unless its just the exact camera angle , kind of playing tricks on the viewer, it looks he has none (or just a small portion) of his right ear which leads me to believe he was chewed on at some point in his younger days. Or, like Bill (WW) mentioned, perhaps he had a badly frostbitten ear? Man, its hard to say what event or events caused what I think I see (don't see).

I think the camera angle is such that you are looking straight down the hear,That is why it looks short

If there is something with the ear it could be frost bite as a calf... most of the cows I've seen with frost bite usually have it the same on both ears though ??? Maybe it's just a weird camera angle

Mystery solved... I got home and dug up another pic of that bull and it's obviously the camera angle that created that Mike Tyson illusion. Bernard Bull in fact, does possess both ears!

Sir, you may borrow the Wapiti Talk Leer Jet for the holiday season! Now, I just have to find it... last time I heard, the stinky moderators said it was somewhere between Canada, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. Once I locate it though, I'll get it down your way ;)

Is he the Avatar bull or is the Avatar bull his off spring?
What that bull needs is an arrow in the boiler room and I aim to give it to him. My paraphrase of a Jack Nickolson line in his Batman movie. What Jack actually said was, "What this city needs is a better class of criminal, and I aim to give it to them."

What's odd is you don't have that monster mounted on your wall.

The bull you asked about is older and larger than the Avatar. Hopefully one of us reels him or a close cousin in this year.

We packed out a bull just like this back in 2013, nearly the same set up just a tad smaller

I did. I noticed there's no icon at the top of the screen for the Gear/Weapons forum.

Didn't notice any threads on incorrect forums swede. I just noticed a week or 2 ago that there's no icon for the gear forum. Hence the answer to the question "Notice anything odd here?"

Looks like a good bull to me. I love how you can compare elk to people. We and them are all different in our own ways.

That's weird for sure. I'm seeing it on my IPhone just fine Joe. Anybody else having trouble seeing the Gear Icon at the top of the page (on PC or phone)?
