A friend showed me video of elk bugling and FIGHTING (not just sparring) three weeks ago in Western CO! I was surprised to see them hard-horned. Small bulls for what it's worth.

I hunt just west of Rochester Minnesota

I am out scouting right now I never heard an elk all night or this morning.

Hunted deer this morning in central CO and heard about a dozen little contact bugles. Had a lil bull come by the deer blind. Good luck to all!

Here in Oregons saddle mountain unit I heard 10 bugles today. Didn't make any connections though
