Do you guys that hunt evenings find that elk come out to feed earlier in the evening when there is a full moon?

I can't say that I have noticed this for elk but I will say that I have noticed many more mule deer during the day when the moon is full. This first became apparent to me over 40 years ago.

I have seen that at times, but it's not a constant. I have tried to stay ahead of the game by plotting on moonphase....now I just go like I normally do and don't worry about it, if the moon is full, and skies are clear, I may make it out in the woods an hour earlier than normal for the afternoon hunt, but it doesn't really seem to matter.

Penn State just finished earlier this year a study on effect of moon phase on movement of whitetail deer. No difference. Weather affects them more.
