Wintering Wapiti

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 12 27, 2017 •  [Post 1]

They sure know when season is over, and, where they're safe :D. These fine Rooseys are just a few miles from my house off a main hardball road. They are a local herd that winters in the confines of the private property fields every year; its nice having some elk to look at on the way home every few days.

Post up some winter elk from your area ;).

This is a picture I took a few days before Christmas. We have a couple of herds that I can see on occasion. I saw a different large herd near highway 30 on Christmas Day. It was raining hard when I took the photo above.

Hey Saddlesore, how is the snow shoveling going? Has your convalescing advanced to where you can make the high pitched "get me" call at the same time your wife is shoveling?
