Wyoming unit 12

Postby BigNasty » 03 19, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Hi everyone,
first I would like to say thank you for the add...
A little about me... I am an Iowa transplant that has dreamed of an archery elk hunt since my first bow purchase. After raising two sons I am finally at the point in my life that I am going to make an elk hunt happen.

A buddy and myself are prepping for a general tag hunt Sept. 2019 and we randomly picked unit 12 as our target area. We are planning a trip out in May to do a little hiking around and see what its like in that part of the world.
Is this unit a good starting point? We are not expecting to kill a "TV" trophy bull by any means.... looking for that once in a lifetime experience. We want to backpack in and "live" on the mountain so to speak...no ATV or horses. We are looking at 7th-21st or 14th-28th
any and all suggestions highly welcomed

thanks!

PM me as soon as you reach the minimum number of posts. I've been in that area for most of the last decade.
