Starting my 2018 Season off

Postby under H2O hunter » 06 19, 2018 •  [Post 1]

So I thought I would give an update to my 2018 season... If you didn't see my last post. I am planning on spending the entire season in the back country. My girlfriend and I hiked in and figured out where we are gonna be setting up for the month of September... We did a total of 19 miles. I hauled a bunch of tools like saws,ax, hammer, wire, 550 cord, bark stripper, and hatchet in to prep my wall tent poles. Along with 7 trail cameras, food, and our backcountry camping equipment for a fun few days. My pack weighted in at 70 lbs and my girlfriends pack was 36 lbs. We postholed through some snow setting cameras and managed to figure out a starting point.... Here are some photos. I wish I could post some of the videos as well. Beautiful country, but did you need a blood transfusion, due to the mosquitoes, when you got back to town?

I am in the process of doing a video documentary of the this journey. Just exactly how I release it is still up in the air.

They don't seem to bother me to bad, however my girlfriend got tore up pretty good. The sun on the back of my neck is what really got me..

Oh there are some beautiful fish there. Didn't pack the pole this trip but I do have a couple more trips planned. I am sure I'll pack a pole on one of them and get some fish pics for you.

My wife was a hardcore back packer, hiker, biker and huntress. That all waned over the years
She did command me to have the gear all loaded and I am to be ready for some high country ATVing tomorrow and Saturday :D
