I will be on a saddle listening for a low growly bugle deep down within the darkest timber!

Hurry up and wait, 81 days until we leave.

I hope to be chewing on an elk steak in camp. Maybe we will be tagged out, and maybe we will still looking for our first one. It seems things are very unpredictable for us these days.

Presumably, I'll be hiking back into a wilderness area for round two, after packing out our first bull and getting it to the processor in Quaintlittletown, Idaho ;). That big ol' town burger, crispy fries dipped in secret sauce, and chocolate milkshake was a nice break from the freeze dried chow.

Hopefully calling for friends. I took my time off earlier for the Utah hunt which has a crazy early season. So depending on when and if my buddy with the le tag is done I will be hunting southern Idaho this year and be out of time off by the 15th.

Franks or sweet chilly sauce might help if you added it into the bland tag soup mixture !! LOL

All joking aside. Go out and slay one. Don't stop till your either dead or skinning !!

I will be in Elk Camp, worn out, dirty, tired, hungry, and foot sore. I hope we will have at least one Elk down, and coming up against the end of the Colorado Elk season which is Sept. 23 this year.
