Sittin In A Tree Stand

Postby Swede » 06 30, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Sitting in a tree stand, I sometimes observe things hunters on the ground will likely miss. One of those observations is how long a bull will continue to bugle from one small area. I have listened to one bark off and on for about 5-6 hours. I called to one for over two hours before it came in to get shot. Over the years I have observed that elk are in no hurry unless they are spooked. If they are feeding or going to their bedding area, they can be difficult to keep up with or get ahead of, but that is not because they are in a hurry. They just walk faster than we can.
