Any fires burning

Postby Fridaythe13th » 07 11, 2018 •  [Post 1]

I would appreciate any of the local mountain people are seeing a fire burning out your back door. I hope there isn't. But us out of staters doent hear anything unless it's some million dollar home on fire. Give us the state and nearest town.

There are 6-7 burning all aver CO at present. Most are in the30-70% containment realm. Some won't be extinguished until it starts to rain or snow.

You can Google fires in Colorado and get a complete listing of where, how big, and containment

Badger Creek Fire continues to burn in the Medicine Bow National Forest along route WY-230 near the WY/CO border. Has been somewhere around 80-90% contained for the last couple of weeks with over 20,000 acres burned. It's getting to be the time of year we start getting scattered thunderstorms most every day in the afternoon. Just hope lightening doesn't start another one.
