Have a "Clip-Shot" moment you would be willing to share?

Postby Clip-Shot » 07 16, 2018 •  [Post 1]

I'll start with a photo that inspired the first Clip-Shot 15 years ago.

I got this bull while hunting solo. Draping my Pack over some bushes and wedging my camera with something had to do.
No Rocks or stumps within dragging distance, and believe me I looked!
After getting the 35mm film developed, I decided to find something lightweight & compact that would solve this problem.
To my surprise nothing existed like I had in mind, so, I went outside the box.
With an idea, my Lathe & Milling machine, I came up with something that filled my need.
I started calling it my "Clip-Shot"...

Here is a pic of my buddy's Desert Bighorn from last year. Hard to tell from the pic, but we were right on the edge of a dry wash.

I took my trekking pole and suck it into the sand to put the clip shot on.

Picture came out pretty good.

Definitely a handy device.

I don't know where to start as I have taken so many with my Clip Shot. I love that little thing! I was gonna put my Fred and Wilma Flintstone Halloween picture up, but I guess I will go with my favorite picture from last year.

Received the clip shot last year through a giveaway contest here on Wapiti Talk. Was lucky enough to use it opening day last year. Very impressed. I have since told many buddies, about how great the clip shot works. Thankful to be able to capture memories in the field much easier. I even used it to take a family photo for our adoption page last year. Though I don’t have that pic on my phone at the moment.

Man I have a ton of Clip Shot pics. One of the best uses for them is to be able to include your partner in some pictures since he or she is a big part of the hunt.

A Priceless "First Archery Elk experience" for my son-in-law.
Ol "Jersey" helped get a Bull close with plenty of Bugling.
Especially Exciting Day that will never be forgotten...

The first shot only happened on camera because I had a clip shot with me. I wasn't hunting but baiting, but have learned to keep my clip shot with my camcorder any time I am in the woods. The way it unfolded I just happened to have my bow in the rig and was lucky the bear didn't want to leave.
