Awesome find yesterday!

Postby Navesgane » 07 17, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Found this guy while scouting my local haunts yesterday. Talk about getting stoked for September! Odd thing was I found a fresh(er) doe carcass about 100 yards before I found him.

Nice. It would be interesting to look around if you could find the remainder of the skeleton.

The rest of it was about 5' to the right of the head. Spine and ribs still intact.

Cool!! some neat funk on the left side

A couple weeks back while backpacking in the Wind rivers we came across a whole skeleton from last fall,.. looked like a winter ( late fall) kill and birds were'nt on it till spring; 9600 feet So I think it may have gotten stuck, died and was buried all winter in the snow.
