Winter Soup Recipes

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 11 05, 2017 •  [Post 1]

Got one?, wild game or not. Please share it.

RJs simple bird soup.
2 cups diced carrots, 1 diced yellow onion, 2 cups diced celery, 1sp cumin, 2 tsp ground pepper, 1 tsp parsley flakes, big container chicken broth 32 OZ (or use 8 boulion cubes), 3 boneless bird breasts (chunked), and either noodles or rice.
All on the stove (except the rice or noodles; do them later in a separate pan and then throw em in the soup). I usually top the main ingredient pot off with water and boil for an hour, turn to low/medium and add the cooked rice/noodles at around the two hour mark and simmer for another 1/2 hour. Cheesy rolls on the side go well. :)

My wife makes a chicken noodle soup. Similar to RJ's .We make our own broth from chicken or turkey bones Ill add just a bit of corn starch o thicken. and often reduce the egg noodles.
My daughters use to like a home made egg drop soup.
cooked shredded carrots ,
finely diced onion pan fried to translucent ( or dried onion)
sometimes very fine celery fried with the onion
fork in egg whites into boiling canned chicken broth
