so i bought a plow disc pan.

i am loving it!! it is a lot of fun.

i am cooking in my backyard. between my wok and "deesko" i am not doing much cooking inside my home anymore.

my disc is proving difficult to season, but i am getting there with patience. bacon didnt hurt either..but this is not the best tool for bacon. i got this thing the day my brother told me he drew an elk tag.

i also bought a dedicated outdoor wok burner that works with both the disc and the wok. i am pooping in tall cotton fellas!

Seasoning them takes time but you'll learn there isn't much you can't cook on a deesco. I built one almost 20 years ago and it's cooked many meals at home and in camp. If you time it right you can cook biscuits and gravy on it. Anymore truck camping its the only thing I take to cook with, except the jetboil for coffe.

Someone told me I could roll out tubed buiscuits and pan cook them. I’ll try one day. I haven’t bought those party tubes in decades.

Buisuits and gravy would be awesome.

Just put the biscuits out as far as you can, cooler, and keep flipping them. It takes a little time. When they're close cook the sausage gravy in the middle.

Looks like you should have used a wire brush on it before attempting to season.

My daughters built one in ag shop,.. used it to burn wood and roast hot dogs and burn marshmallows when they had ice skating parties1

You do know that outdoor stoves, grills, smokers, and other sorts of outside cooking is a conspiracy created by women

nah..no wire brush. it is super super smooth. there are some nicks and indentions. but i understand it isnt and never was going to be a tooled piece of equipment. i consider them all part of the charm.

mine looks odd, because i tried to season it in my BBQ grill. first time i boiled water to remove stubborn burned on carnitas (carnitas had pineapple in it - the sugar vulcanized to the disc) my BBQ seasoning came off in the middle and floated to the surface. it was funny and sad at the same time. now i just cook with it and let it season on it's own. the hell with dedicated seasoning sessions.

That's what I did, just cook on it and boil it clean.

Email it to yourself. Then when it asks you what size to send it, hit the smallest option ( iPhone)

bummer about the pics. i was looking forward to seeing what a well used disc looks like.

i have wild turkey breast thawing in the fridge. i am gonna pan fry up some on the disc today or tomorrow. i think the flour dusted breast will move seasoning forward a few ticks..just something about burning batter. :)
