Carrying Momentum

Postby TurkeyBowMaster » 08 13, 2016 •  [Post 1]

If momentum plays a roll in success, then I should be in good shape for the upcoming seasons. I am coming off a spring season of taking 10 turkeys....100 inches of beard. Killing 100 inches of beard is a really good accomplishment and it normally cannot be dome with only 10 turkeys as they average less than 10 inches a piece. What made it even more difficult is I started off with a Jake with a 4 inch beard. I got back on pace by killing a double beard and killed mostly mature birds with 10+ beards after that. Most were called but I stalked a couple of late season Kentucky birds.

Add to this is I killed an elk on my first and only elk hunt and I am going in with a lot of confidence.

I believe that the proper mind set leads to increased success in the woods. If you have confidence, you will be able to persevere until success is achieved. Works for fishing for sure.
