I went for a brief scouting trip before work the other morning at a duck spot, and found a decent group of geese sitting on a pond, we put a good stalk on them and was able to bag 3 in 2 shots, the dog did the rest. This is what I do to pass the time in the winter :D This... and ice fishing

Looks good. I just wish we had more ice around here. As a Mn boy, only 10 inches of ice spooks me a bit. 8-)

Hey if geese show up here your invited to hunt out of a pit. Bring the dog too, My old girl doesn't want to retrieve this year.

Actually Ill open it up to anyone on the forum. If your around Poky and would like to goose hunt get ahold of me through PM. All you need is a white hat, duckstamp, and an extra Mt Dew or Rockstar ( I am not a guide I a not a guide I am not a guide I am not a guide,.. Idaho legel statement  )

Thanks Lefty, I'll have to take you up on that one of these days! We moved about 2 hours north of Idaho Falls from Burley a few months ago, I've been missing the Snake River, but mostly the tremendous field hunting down there... Things are slow here right now in SW Montana as it has been frigid cold, but there are a ton of birds holding in the Billings area and north of there where weather has been really mild, just need a good push of weather to push them down.
