2013 whitetail down

Postby wawhitey » 11 10, 2013 •  [Post 1]

so i suck at posting pics on this site so heres a link. http://imgur.com/a/Ppsim

nothing huge but id pull the trigger on him again no doubt. im pretty sure this is one of the bucks i let walk last year in the same spot. got him down about 3pm today with one shot from my .300 win mag. caught him as he was chasing a doe after he thrashed up some trees. saw a lot of good rutting activity today. does bleating, bucks chasing tail, fawns with no moms in sight. its happening out here for sure.

heres a trail cam pic from last year of a buck i let walk, i think its him. http://imgur.com/5YSMoIE

thanks. now its out to the shop to skin this bad boy. got to get him taken care of so i can spend the next couple weeks cougar hunting. damn things are everywhere! already missed a shot at one with my sidearm last month, kicking myself in the ass. apparently im not quite the gunslinger i think i am. found tracks in the snow couple days ago from at least 4, but i think 5 different cats. going up on the ridge at first light, hoping we get a fresh dusting overnight so i can key in on the really hot tracks. check out the dates in these last 4 pics. must have a kill buried nearby. when i was heading to my cam i saw big cat tracks in snow, and sure enough, got pics. http://imgur.com/a/bhFd1
