Huge Blacktail Buck Caught on Trail Cam

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 01 02, 2014 •  [Post 1]

This horse has been frequenting the back of my yard.. I suppose I should let him grow a year or three, LOL. He has a twin brother that hangs out also but haven't seen him in a few days.

Yeah, this guy and his twin are snacking several times in a 24 hour period on a deer block I grabbed from Del's a few weeks ago. Man they go crazy over that thing.

Are you going with a full head mount or just a Euro?

Your trail cam must not be functioning properly, his Mother has to be there as well. No way is he weaned yet> :D

Perhaps a full shoulder mount ;) That should take up all of about one square foot on the wall.

 I like it.

The little guy does kinda remind me of the first deer I ever killed. As a 12 year old boy I just couldn't hold out for something bigger. Still have "the rack" hanging in my cave.

The little bugger sure gets around. He was in my back yard just the other day. Just like you said, he has a twin brother. It must be the same pair. Is it possible one headed up to Washington while the other is still around here somewhere?

Those deer blocks work? My brother and I tried using salt/mineral blocks our first year bowhunting, but we didn't really know what we were doing with them. The day before we hunted an area, we threw them out 20 yards from my blind, where we had seen some whitetails without realizing you have to do it over a period of time. Or I guess that's the idea . . .

It's a primos quick draw Shawn. The little BTs on my property love it.
