AZ Deer/Sheep draw 2018

Postby lamrith » 07 06, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Anyone else put in for AZ sdeer/Sheep.

I struck out for Elk in AZ and WA, so I put in for deer.
Step Dad and I drew Modern Coues hunt for early Nov down on the border.
Was a nice hunt last time though I passed on a spike on day 1 and there were no deer after that. DOH
Dropping the hammer on anything legal this time around!

I think I would hunt close in to Tucson is you can. They seem to be a nuisance around in the yards along the southern part of town.

Yeah City folk are not very smart. They have been feeding at least one mule deer out near Tombstone that had to be captured and relocated. Same sort of folks that wanted to bring wolves back to WA because they are pretty.

Sorry I digress..

No Mullies for me I am affraid, my tag is limited to White tail buck.

Got the archery deer otc tag for this year. Had fun in January, will be back after them in December if not September.

Yes, I am addicted to elk. No, I don't need help, I just need a tag.

we've been running some cameras down there....hopefully everything will play out they way we want..

pulled a nice one out last year, have located two bruisers - thought they were mules when we first glassed them. Hopefully they will survive the earlier hunts and we will have a chance at them...
